Kam Shave Ice is a family-run business made possible from a little inspiration, some determination, and immense love and support from 'ohana (family) and na hoaloha (friends). Proud of our roots and family name, no other name could be more fitting than Kam's.


It became clear that finding authentic Hawaiian Shave Ice in San Diego was hard to come by. Sno-cones can't compare to  the soft texture of Hawaiian Shave Ice, which origins have evolved and become a unique fusion of cultures like so many foods in Hawai'i. Read more about it here.

Staying true to the roots of the best shave ice you can find in Hawai'i (most famously Matsumoto, Aoki's, and Waiola Shave Ice) we shave from only block ice, so that the lightest, fluffiest snow is made. This allows the syrup to absorb all the way through, instead of puddling at the bottom. Kam Shave Ice offers island favorite add-ons such as vanilla ice cream and azuki beans. All our syrups are homemade and our mochi is made fresh daily with aloha.  We hope you will enjoy our Hawaiian shave ice as much as we love serving it!
